The following are frequently asked questions with their corresponding answers.
How Do I Use It?
This is my first time buying your Sugar Soufflé Scrub, how do I use it?
After washing your body with your LaLicious Body Wash, use your hands and scoop out a generous portion of the Sugar Scrub and rub all over your arms, legs, stomach, toosh… and then rinse! You will get a gentle exfoliation from the sugar crystals which will melt away with the water. Your skin will begin absorbing the Coconut Oil, a rich moisturizer. Pat dry when you get out of the shower, NO need to use lotion!
Insider Secret: This product can also double as a shaving cream. Use as directed, and once the sugar crystals have rinsed off, shave and your legs as you normally would after applying a gel or cream. Your legs will still be moisturized after you are done!
Safe To Use In The Shower?
Is it okay to store my Sugar Scrub in the shower?
Yes. But, be aware that our
Sugar Scrub is a coconut oil base, so it may cause the surface of your tub or shower to become slippery during/after use. Just be careful!
Smells Yummy - Can I Eat It?
My Sugar Scrub smells good enough to eat. Is it edible?
This is precisely why we tell our customers, "No tasting!" on our labels. While LaLicious Sugar Scrubs do smell good enough to eat, we do not recommend it. (They don't taste as good at they smell, anyways.) Most of the scrubs have fragrance oils in them which are not supposed to be ingested. See the next question for more.
My dog ate my whole Brown Sugar Scrub is he going to be okay?
Yes. We have been asked this question a number of times. All the dogs who love to eat LaLicious products have certainly lived, so not to worry. The Sugar Scrubs are mostly natural ingredients (with the exception of the ones which have fragrance oils), so it is not particularly harmful. But, this is a good reason not to keep your scrub open in your shower!
Coffee Anyone?
The Coffee Bean Sugar Soufflé Scrub sounds yummy, but will I smell like coffee after I use it?
No. We think we have the best Coffee scrub on the market, and we hope you do too! This scrub does not have any fragrance in it all. When you open the jar you will smell the fabulous aroma of Arabica Coffee because of the actual coffee grounds in the scrub. Once you rinse the grinds off your skin, your skin will be perfectly exfoliated and hydrated, but you will not smell like you just walked out of a coffee shop!
Do you have products that go with the Coffee Bean Scrub?
The Coffee Bean Scrub is intentionally a stand-alone product. However, the Vanilla Body Butter, Wash and Oil are great compliments to the Coffee Bean Sugar Scrub. Make your bathroom experience into a Vanilla Latte!
Salty?
Do you have salt scrubs?
No. All LaLicious Body Soufflé Scrubs use Cane Sugar as the exfoliant rather than salt. Sugar is less abrasive than salt and does not sting when it comes in contact with any small cuts or scrapes that one may have. And, we just love sugar!
LaLicious Oil Usage!
I see that you sell a Body Oil, what would I use that for?
Great Question! Our
Body Oil is a coconut oil based product with no mineral oils in it (if you do not know what mineral oils are see the mineral oil topics). You can use this product right when you get out of the shower to lock in moisture then pat dry. Or you can use it in the shower as a shaving cream or as the last thing you do before getting out of the shower as a moisturizer. (Your skin will be more hydrated if you moisturize before completely drying off) The Body Oil can also be used as a massage oil, eye make-up remover, deep conditioner for your hair, or to keep your cuticles and heels soft. My body oil solidified, is something wrong with it?
No. This is totally normal. Sometimes it will even be half solid and half liquid. LaLicious Body Oils’ main ingredient is coconut oil which solidifies in cooler temperatures and melts in warmer temperatures. We choose to use coconut oil as the base because it is great for your skin, but the changing texture does confuse people. You can use our Body Oil as a semi-solid, and as soon as the oil hits your skin it will melt. Or, to return to a liquid you can run it under warm water for a minute or two. Please do not melt using a microwave.
Shelf Life - How Long Does It Last?
What is the shelf life of your products?
LaLicious products are given a 1 year shelf life once opened, as listed on our labels. To make your product last as long as possible we recommend keeping it out of the direct sunlight and at room temperature, between about 65-80 degrees. Also be sure to keep the product lid or cap on tight to keep it looking and smelling its best!
Mineral Oils?
Do your products have mineral oils?
NO! LaLicious does NOT use mineral oil in ANY of our products. Mineral oil is a by-product of petroleum which is extremely inexpensive and most commonly used in low-end cosmetics (it is the primary ingredient in baby oil). Mineral oil leaves a greasy feeling on the skin because it is difficult to absorb and so can clog pores. It is not something that you want to put on your skin, period.
